This ongoing series is both a continuation of and a reaction to the Lines images, using variegated bands of horizontal lines and a horizontal orientation to suggest landscape and distance overlaying a reduced color palette of sepia, orange and grey ink washes. Disruptive breaks in the bands of line create windows into each landscape and suggest shafts of light, possible atmospheric events or architectural elements.
