The New Main Library project opened a door for me back to the art world. I helped select the artists invited to participate in the project (Ann Hamilton, Ann Chamberlain, Nayland Blake and Alice Aycock), tracked down library materials and information needed for the installations and explained the art work to the public, donors and staff. I worked on the design of the Library’s exhibit spaces and established the Library’s Exhibits & Programs department. Most importantly, the project gave me the confidence to change careers and start making art myself.
